How to share broadband internet connection via wireless on windows 7


1. Make sure MAIN laptop is successful online, using your broadband connection.

2. Open the Network and Sharing Center in Windows 7
3. Click Set up a new connection or network
 



4. Choose "Set up a wireless adhoc network"




5. Click Next on the "info" screen.

6. Create your wifi network name. (so your friend will connect on this name connection.

7. Basicly, choose Security type - WEP

8. Create the security key (remember the key because we need it when it promote on computer the want to connect in this connection)

9. Click next

10. THIS iS IMPORTANT click the button to "Turn on Internet connection sharing"


12. Click Close and DONE!




13. Right now you can ask you friend try to connect this connection! Enjoy!

  1. I have done it exactly the same way.
    client connects to the host computer but cant browse internet.
    when i click the internet icon in tray it just shows the name of the network connected and also it is written: no internet access.

    my broadband connection is on and i can browse on host pc.

  2. thanks for the post. I tried the exact same thing but the page where I am supposed to enable internet connection sharing is skipped automatically, so its not working. Any suggestions ?
